Invitation (APO #13)
When Alicia shared this photo of Lucy, stepping onto the grass of her forever home for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the joyful wonder in her face as she accepted the invitation to her new life. When I painted the moment, I decided to take Lucy’s leash and drop it in front of her…reversing the invitation…asking the viewer to”just pick up the leash" and let her lead you on her joyful journey . This is the 5th piece in my Boston Terrier series.
